From first sketch to the big day, Cathryn will work closely with you to bring to life the corset or gown of your dreams. Her approach to corsetry begins in museum archives, sculpting each body using techniques that have stood the test of time. Carefully constructed with the finest fabrics, constructed with couture techniques and adorned with hand embellishments and embroidery, each Cathryn-Jane couture piece is fit for a fairytale.

Every great love story starts with a beginning. Your first consultation is an opportunity for us to get to know one another, talk through your ideas, dream a little, and discover if Cathryn-Jane is the right fit for you.
Whether you arrive with a fully formed vision or only an idea of how you’d like to feel in your piece, we’ll explore the endless possibilities and determine the design together.

This is where your ideas take shape. Working from your Meet Cute Consultation, Cathryn will draft a design proposal with sketches and a mood board detailing discussed silhouettes, fabrics, embellishments and details.
A deposit secures your place in our schedule and allows the magic to begin.

Because the magic is in the making.
Fabrics are sourced, elements sampled and embellishments designed, culminating in a finalised design and the creation of your first toile.
Depending on the complexity of your design, 2-5 fittings will take place allowing us to sculpt the silhouette to you, perfect the fit and refine every detail.
Fittings take place with Cathryn in our London Atelier wherever possible. For international clients virtual fittings can be arranged, with your toile carefully packaged and shipped to you.

At your final fitting, we check every detail from head to toe, confirming a perfect fit and absolute comfort.
When you’re happy and the piece has been paid for in full, we will carefully steam and package her for your collection or home delivery.
You’ll leave with personalised care instructions and videos detailing the important bits, like how to lace up your corset or fasten your bustle, so when the big day arrives, you can just step into your couture piece and enjoy every moment.
